Privacy Policy

SnapConvert converts and compresses images entirely inside your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. No image, file, or file data is ever uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers or any external server. There is no upload step in our architecture — the Service has no backend capable of receiving your files. Everything happens locally on your device, and the moment you close or refresh the tab, any processed data is gone unless you explicitly downloaded it.

We use privacy-respecting web analytics (such as Vercel Web Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic to the Service — for example, which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit per day. This analytics is:

• Cookieless — it does not set or read cookies to track you;
• Anonymized and aggregated — it does not identify you individually; and
• Limited to standard web metrics like page views, referrer, and general device/browser type.

We do not combine this data with any other source to build a profile of you.

SnapConvert stores one small preference in your browser's localStorage: your light/dark theme choice. This value never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

SnapConvert is a free service supported by display advertising. We work with third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdSense, to serve ads on the Service.

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may also opt out of a number of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.

You can disable cookies entirely through your browser settings; note that this may affect how ads are displayed but will not affect SnapConvert's core conversion functionality, which requires no cookies to work.

SnapConvert is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our advertising partners may nonetheless serve non-personalized ads in accordance with applicable regulations such as COPPA.

Because we never collect your files and don't maintain user accounts, there is no personal file data of yours for us to access, export, or delete. For control over advertising cookies, see Section 4 above. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under regulations such as the GDPR or CCPA regarding any limited analytics data described in Section 2 — contact us using the details below with any requests.

The Service may contain links to third-party sites (including our advertisers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their own privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
